Awana Clubs worldwide reach kids through energetic game activities, Bible-based teaching experiences and small group time with friends by establishing welcoming, supportive environments where kids learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives.
Those who come to faith at an early age discover God’s purpose for their lives and hope for the future. Kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Awana establishes welcoming, supportive environments where kids, from every background and cultural setting, learn how a personal relationship with Christ affects their everyday lives.
Here at CaryCOG, our MissionsKids offers both Sparks and Truth & Training Awana Clubs programs to cover the differing ages of our children, with the ultimate message to kids of every age group is that there is nothing more important than their relationship with Christ and following His way of living in the Scriptures.
Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.
To many children in kindergarten to second grade, Sparks is the highlight of the week! They love their red vests, the exciting games and spending time with leaders and friends.
Sparks is divided into three years, each with a unique rank: HangGlider®, WingRunner® and SkyStormer™. Each year, Sparks clubbers:
- explore the biographies of people of the Bible from a new portion of Scripture
- memorize Bible verses
- complete handbook activities
Truth & Training (3rd-6th)
T&T is different from other Awana programs. It has distinct curriculum, uniforms and awards to specifically engage third through sixth-graders.
By having a different set of curriculum and goals for this age group, helps answer their questions about God and the Bible, and guides them through this pivotal life stage to grow in Christ's grace. To keep the children engaged, we also share laughs and fun during our Large Group Time and Game Times. This helps kids stay plugged as they continue growing in their relationship with Christ.
