Prayer makes a difference
When prayer comes from clean hands and pure heart which has faith in God, and prays under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, supernatural change is coming (James chapter 5). Prayer and intercession which does not give up, prayer which tarries and waits on the Holy Spirit to move, which touches God’s heart will lead the church to Revival.
Revival will bring about renewal and restoration to the church, and when the Church is restored, the body of Christ will lift up prayers more powerful, more focused, more effective than ever before.
Holy Spirit breathed
These two elements of the House of Prayer (prayer and revival) must always pass through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit brings the revelation and deep things of God’s will, and brings the Fire of his presence. The weapons of our warfare are not carnal or natural. They are supernatural for the tearing down of strongholds. The weapons forged by the Holy Spirit are exemplified by the Sword which is his Word, and the Shield, which is our Faith. We could easily include others, like the Breastplate, which is righteousness, and the Helmet, which is our salvation. To enter the battle, we must have weapons of war, with the Spirit leading the army to defeat every enemy of God.
When the various ministries & groups of the Cary COG become one in heart and mind, one in praise and worship, one in vision and purpose, prayer becomes more powerful, revival is inevitable, and the Holy Spirit and Fire is free to take control and move in our midst. The church moves from Glory to Glory.
Prayer and Revival will lead us to stand in the gap and make up the hedge, not only for ourselves, our family and our church, but our collective heart will be moved to the nations and to a lost and dying world. We must intercede for others in need who are outside our walls and our gates. We go outside the city, and we will bring back the spoils of the enemy, in Jesus name. We can change our world, one prayer at a time.
Love is the key
The love of Jesus, living in our hearts and in our mind, provides the motivation and purpose of all the Cary COG House of Prayer will strive to accomplish. Without that love, which causes us to lay down our lives for Him, and for His Kingdom, we will never become a 1 Corinthians 13 church. Faith and Hope will find their fulfillment through prayer and revival when we learn to love like our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
And the Lord will create over the whole site, over every dwelling place of Mount Zion and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night; over all the glory shall be a canopy (a defense of divine love and protection). And there shall be a pavilion (booth, tabernacle, shelter), for shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge and a shelter (hiding place) from storm and from rain.
Acts 1:8 and 14
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth. vs. 14 All these with one accord were devoting themselves to prayer …
That the Pastors, Staff, body of Christ (the “Whole Site - House of Prayer”), through the Power of the Holy Spirit would come into one accord to touch the heart of God, by becoming a hearth, an altar for the Lord. That we as a body will come beneath a covering of the glory and love of the Lord to establish the body of Christ with an altar of prayer, as well as impart a vision to every individual and every household of Cary Church of God, to build an altar of prayer and keep it burning before the Lord. That we will become a “Whole Site - House of Prayer” - that is a cloud by day and fire by night for the Glory of the Lord; and that the canopy of God’s Glory will result in supernatural faith to pray, and the supernatural presence of the Holy Spirit to bring Revival. The House of Prayer will strive to develop an individual and corporate desire to ignite "hearth fire" altars of prayer in every heart and in every home.
Our Faith Declaration:
To see both prayer and revival cover our church as a canopy of God’s Glory. To see each household empowered as they enter the counsel of the Lord in prayer and by His Word. We declare they will receive a new and powerful vision of how to take down giants through the Word of the Lord and the unction of the Holy Ghost in order to fully possess their Promised Land. This church community will become people of great faith and prayer. Prayer will result in Revival, and those revived and restored will find a new passion to pray even greater prayers of faith. They will establish the Kingdom of God as they are led by prayer into action. We believe that miracles of soul salvation, of reformed and transformed lives will be the result.
The wisdom of the Holy Spirit will bring vision for prayer and cause it to be ignited in the "hearths" of church ministry, family and individual hearts. To develop detailed short term and long term objectives which are reachable, but still dependent upon the direction and power of the Holy Spirit. Our vision for prayer is that individuals and homes will build an altar in their hearts, and keep the fires burning! We are carriers of the Presence of God, hearts with fire in us, which will draw others to know the Presence of the King! “Build an Altar and He will come, and He will transform the House of Prayer to be a carrier and disseminator of the “All Consuming Fire".
